Artwork Requirements
Good artwork leads to clean, professional decoration. Whether you’re ordering embroidery, printed apparel, or patches, starting with the right file helps us produce the best possible result. If your artwork needs adjustments, we’ll help you get it production‑ready at no extra cost.
What file types work best?
For the cleanest results, we recommend:
- Vector files — AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF
- High‑resolution PNGs — 300 DPI with a transparent background
Vector files are ideal because they scale cleanly and keep edges sharp. High‑resolution PNGs are the next best option.
What file types should I avoid?
Low‑quality files make it harder to produce clean decoration. Avoid:
- screenshots
- photos of a logo
- low‑resolution JPGs
- social‑media profile images
- tiny web graphics
These files blur when enlarged and often need to be rebuilt.
Do you charge for artwork cleanup?
No. There are no art charges, ever.
If your logo needs cleanup, redrawing, or adjustments to make it production‑ready, we handle that in‑house at no extra cost. Clean artwork helps us deliver better results, so we include this as part of our service.
What artwork works best for embroidery?
Embroidery looks best with:
- bold shapes
- simple icons
- limited text
- clean lines
Small text, thin lines, and stacked information tend to blur when stitched. If your logo is too detailed, we can simplify it or recommend woven appliqué.
What artwork works best for printed apparel?
Printing can handle:
- full‑color artwork
- gradients
- small text
- detailed designs
High‑resolution files produce the cleanest prints.
What artwork works best for patches?
It depends on the patch style:
- Woven patches — detail and small text
- Embroidered patches — bold, simple shapes
- Chenille patches — large letters and mascots
- Sequin patches — simple, bold icons
- Sublimated patches — full color and gradients
If you’re unsure, send your logo and we’ll recommend the best match.
Can you match my brand colors?
Yes. If you provide your Pantone (PMS) colors, we’ll match them as closely as possible across embroidery, printing, and patches. If you don’t have Pantone colors, we can help identify them.
What if I don’t have a clean version of my logo?
Send whatever you have — even if it’s a photo or screenshot — and we’ll rebuild it at no extra cost. Most logos can be cleaned up quickly.
How do I send my artwork?
Upload your file through our quote form. If the file is too large, you can email it after we connect.
