Care Instructions
Proper care helps your apparel last longer and keeps decoration looking clean. Different decoration methods have different needs, but the basics are simple: wash gently, avoid high heat, and treat decorated garments with care.
General Care for All Decorated Apparel
These guidelines apply to embroidery, printed apparel, patches, and appliqué:
- Turn garments inside out before washing.
- Wash in cold water with similar colors.
- Use mild detergent.
- Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
- Tumble dry low or hang dry.
- Do not iron directly over decoration.
These steps help prevent fading, cracking, shrinking, and premature wear.
Embroidery
Embroidery is durable and low‑maintenance. For best results:
- Wash cold, gentle cycle.
- Avoid high heat in the dryer.
- Do not iron directly on the stitched area.
Embroidery holds up extremely well when cared for properly.
Printed Apparel
Printed designs last longest when you:
- Wash inside out.
- Avoid fabric softeners.
- Hang dry when possible.
- Avoid ironing directly on the print.
High heat is the main cause of cracking or fading over time.
Patches (Woven, Embroidered, Chenille, Sequin, Sublimated)
Patches are durable, but the edges and stitching benefit from gentle care:
- Wash inside out.
- Avoid high heat drying.
- Do not iron directly on the patch.
- For chenille, avoid heavy friction or snagging.
Heat‑seal and sewn patches both hold up well with proper care.
Woven Appliqué
Woven appliqué is sewn down and very durable. To keep it looking clean:
- Wash cold.
- Tumble dry low or hang dry.
- Avoid ironing directly on the appliqué.
Sticker Patches
Sticker patches are temporary and not meant for washing.
If applied to hard surfaces (laptops, bottles, notebooks), they hold up well with normal use.
